Welcome to the Yellow Card Centre North West

Yellow Card Centre North West (YCCNW) acts on behalf of the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) to promote, stimulate and support reporting of adverse drug reactions through the Yellow Card Scheme.

We are based in Liverpool and are staffed by healthcare professionals from the North West Medicines Information Centre and the University of Liverpool, Department of Molecular and Clinical Pharmacology.

Staff at the centre work locally on behalf of the MHRA to provide help and support to healthcare professionals and patients in Cheshire, Greater Manchester, Lancashire and Merseyside about Adverse Drug Reactions (ADRs) and reporting ADRs via the Yellow Card Scheme (YCS). 

Our aim is to increase awareness of ADRs and the YCS and to improve the number and quality of ADR reports in the YCCNW region.

Staff at the centre provide training throughout the region to healthcare professionals and students, and are willing to talk to patients as part of a conference or patient-group seminar if requested.
